We have a few volunteer opportunities coming up with Durham Rescue Mission. This is a great way to get involved in our community. Reach out to Pie if you have any questions or would like to sign up.
In April, the Durham Rescue Mission is hosting an Annual Easter Community Celebration. This involves giving out assembled Easter baskets full of candy and toys as well as a BBQ meal for the community. This is a large-scale event that they host which needs lots of helping hands. There are a few shifts we can choose.
Thursday, April 17: Set up Day: 5:30pm - 7:30pm (assembling baskets and doing prep work for the event day).
Friday Event Day: Super early Shift 5:00am-7:00am, or 10:30am-1pm.
Tax time is upon us, and if you have a need for a tax statement for 2024 contributions to JCC, please contact Caleb Xu at giving@journeyrdu.com.
Easter is a great time to invite friends and neighbors to church. We are praying that you would think about 2 people you can invite and that also you would spend 2 minutes each day praying for them. We hope to see many new faces as we celebrate Easter!
Join us for Good Friday service on Friday, April 18 at 7:30 PM. All are encouraged to attend.
JCC Book Club will be meeting on Thursday, May 15th. The group will be reading The Return of the Prodigal Son by Henri Nouwen. Please reach out to Pie if you need a copy.
